The story of the Très Honoré project as told by Gabriel

The adventure began in 2005… After working several years abroad and then in Paris in business development, I needed a change of scenery and a return to the countryside. I bought this property with the aim of transforming it into a guest house which I ran until 2010.
After another ten years in Paris in business management, I spent the Covid crisis in Touraine. This presented an ideal opportunity to undertake renovations and relaunch the project of a guest house of the highest quality in a region that is one of France’s most desirable destinations for visitors.

Touraine is renowned for its many beautiful chateaux and 18th-century manors. But few of them offer premium lodging to meet the needs of demanding travelers.

The concept of Très Honoré, a contemporary manor house, is a melding of high comfort – large living spaces, rooms and suites, modern bathrooms, luxurious bedding – and a unique design flair. Period, vintage and contemporary furnishings and accents – often reinterpreted, occasionally quirky – create a chic and elegant atmosphere in a relaxing green setting of 1.4 hectares of private woods and parkland with swimming pool, terraces and pergola.

After five months of renovations, countless hours of searching online and in antique shops and auctions to get just the right vintage-meets-now spirit, and above all plenty of elbow grease, the result is everything we hoped for! Très Honoré reopens its doors in spring 2021.
